This course provides a structured algorithmic framework, guiding you on effective treatment strategies for pelvic pain patients. This course incorporates manual therapy techniques targeting the pelvis, back, thoracic region, hips, and even the temporomandibular joint!

As with all Alcove Education courses, this weekend course offers a harmonious integration of orthopedic and pelvic health methodologies. It equips you with a comprehensive understanding of pelvic health diagnoses and empowers you to effectively address them using strategies that equate to effective treatment that can be utilized the next day in the clinic.

This course will empower you to:

  • Treat complex pelvic pain diagnoses for the male and female population
  • Improve discernment skills: Organize and identify modifiable biopsychosocial factors
  • Differentiate patient needs, whether they require manual therapy, nervous system attenuation, or simply need to move.
  • ​Steer clear from the pain mystery and organize symptoms to find the original aggravator whether organic, spinal, tissue, or end organ.
  • ​​Strengthen your subjective intake questions with more specificity to lay a pathway to a sound treatment approach.

Audience:

This course welcomes novel and experienced medical providers that have and want to treat the cis male & female population. Depending on the foundational background, we attempt to balance the orthopedic and pelvic health components for everyone to walk away with many golden nuggets.
This course does include internal and external manual therapy skills surrounding the genital region.This course content is not intended for use by any participants outside the scope of their license or regulation. You will need to check with your practice act for what is within your scope. 
For Medical providers that work with the male and female population in pain. Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapist Assistants, Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, all Students are welcome.  
Continuing Education Credit:
Physical therapy and occupational therapy credit will be offered in the state the course is hosted.
